Every year, the Game Server Hosting team travel to San Francisco to join clients and other leading game developers and publishers at GDC. We have a stand at the event and spend day and night having a great time with our awesome friends and partners from the gaming industry.
During GDC this year, the hosting team were lucky enough to join the team from Respawn and Google Cloud to talk about the success of hosting Titanfall 2.
At the event, Jon Shiring, Lead Engineer at Respawn opened the talk and gave insight into the online architecture of Titanfall 2. Jon was followed by Steve Hartland, CTO of Multiplay, who gave a detailed and in-depth presentation on Multiplay’s platform and technology that is used to host the game. Miles Ward, Global Head, Solutions at Google Cloud closed the talk by running through his team’s role in the solution to host Titanfall 2.
The event was held at Google’s HQ in San Francisco and was attended by some of the leading technical minds in multiplayer game development. We’d like to say a huge thank you to those that were able to attend.
