London, United Kingdom – June 9, 2016 – Multiplay, organiser of the UK’s largest gaming festival, Insomnia, and a subsidiary of GAME Digital plc (“GAME Digital”), the UK’s leading video gaming specialist, launches its first Insomnia event at the INEC Killarney, 10-13 June. Insomnia Gaming Ireland will be the biggest gaming show the country has ever seen.
Insomnia Gaming Ireland features a host of Insomnia content, including a BYOC hall open for 72 hours straight, a main stage with YouTube guests such as ChooChoosGaming, AshDubh, NettyPlays, AmyLee, InTheLittlewood, Terroriser, Gassymexican and MiniMuka all taking part in stage shows, panel talks and informative Q&As.
As a key partner for Irelands biggest gaming event, Gamestop’s retail area will offer the chance to buy and pre-order your favourite games and pick-up some fantastic loot. The Sony stand will also be a huge draw for attendees with a vast array of new releases, such as Overwatch, Unchartered 4, Ratchet & Clank and Street Fighter V.
BYOC Esports tournaments are running throughout the event, including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Rocket League and League of Legends, as well as daily console tournaments for Super Smash Bros. and Fifa16 throughout the weekend.
Adding to an already bursting content schedule, the exhibition hall features great games and zones that fans of gaming culture have come to expect, including a Minecraft, PS4 & Xbox zone, over 18’s zone, retro and Indie games and a main stage filled with special guests and amazing content.
Game of Thrones fans will be in their element, with the Iron Throne making an appearance, allowing fans to strike an iconic pose on the world’s most memorable thrones, having their photo taken for a moment to cherish forever, along with the chance to get up-close with Jaime Lannister’s Sword and the crown of Joffrey Baratheon.
